On October 14, the European Commission has sent an information request to the shopping platform Temu in accordance with the Digital Services Act (DSA), requesting it to provide measures taken to prevent illegal products from being sold on its platform.
It is reported that the European Commission mentioned in a statement: The Commission sent a request for information (RFI) to Temu in accordance with the Digital Services Act, requiring the platform to provide detailed information and internal documents on the measures they have taken to deal with the sale of illegal goods on the platform and the reactivation of such sellers.
The statement also pointed out: Temu must submit the required information by October 21, 2024. The Commission will decide on the next steps after evaluating Temu’s response.
